How is your artwork created? All of the artwork created for Karen Armstrong Studio is hand-made by me, Karen Armstrong. My process always begins with a traditional sketch on paper. Finished work is created with traditional and digital drawing and painting, or by mono printing, and are then scanned and editied, recolored and textured in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop. Art prints and cards are printed and packaged in my studio by me. I print on high quality, acid-free paper using dye-based ink that is designed for longevity. The prints are made to order on a professional grade, high quality printer. My other products, such as stickers, tea towels, etc. are produced using my designs by select manufacturing partners.
