CALLS FOR ART
An invitation to share your work at Little Seasons.
Artists are at the heart of Little Seasons Gallery.
Little Seasons invites artists from Colville and surrounding communities to submit work for consideration for our themed exhibitions. Both experienced and first-time exhibitors are welcome. Because exhibition space is limited, not all submitted work may be selected. There is no fee to submit or exhibit. Little Seasons does not take commissions or broker artwork sales.
The purpose of the gallery is simply to create a place where artists and their work can be seen, shared, and enjoyed by our community. If visitors have interest in an exhibited work, they will be directed to contact the artist.
Exhibitions will also be shared online through the Little Seasons Gallery website, Facebook page, and Instagram. Participating artists may choose to have their name, artist information, and contact or social media links included alongside images of their work, giving visitors another way to discover the artist beyond the little gallery itself.
Whether you've shown your work many times or are considering submitting to an exhibition for the first time, you are welcome here. Each Call for Art will provide clear information about what to submit, how the process works, and what to expect along the way.

CURRENT CALLS
BETWEEN SEASONS
A March 2027 exhibition at Little Seasons Gallery
March is an in-between time. There may still be snow on the ground, but the days are getting longer.
Birds begin returning, patches of earth appear, and now and then we get a day that feels almost like spring.
Little Seasons Gallery invites artists to share work inspired by this changing time of year.
Landscape, light, wildlife, home, new growth, or something entirely your own, there is no single way to interpret the theme.
We would love to see what Between Seasons looks like through your eyes.

HELP FILL THE ART EXCHANGE
An open invitation from Little Seasons Gallery
Before the Art Exchange opens for the first time, we would love a little help filling it with art.
The Art Exchange works much like a Little Free Library, only with art.
Visitors can discover a small piece of art to take home, leave something they have made for someone else to find, or do both.
Little Seasons is bringing the Free Little Art Gallery movement to Colville, and we would love for artists, makers, neighbors, children, families, and creative people from near and far to help us fill the Exchange for opening day.
You do not need to consider yourself an artist, and there is no age requirement.
If you made it and would like to share it, there may be a place for it at Little Seasons.
Your art could be one of the first pieces someone discovers.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
Everyone. All ages and experience levels are welcome. Children and young artists are especially welcome. Artists under 18 should sign their artwork with their first name only. A parent or guardian must mail artwork on behalf of anyone under 18.
WHAT YOU CAN SHARE Small, human-made works of art are welcome, including drawings, paintings, collage, printmaking, photography, fiber art, and other small creative works. Artist-produced fine art prints are also welcome. Maximum size: 3 × 5 inches. Please keep dimensional work similarly small so that it can be safely shared within the Exchange. Artwork should be family-friendly and appropriate for a general public audience. Please leave greeting cards, commercially mass-produced items, AI-generated imagery, advertising, business cards, sales materials, political or religious advocacy materials, and other promotional materials at home. Artists may sign their work and may discreetly include a website or social media name on the back. Artists under 18 should use a first name only. HOW THE EXCHANGE WORKS Artwork placed in the Exchange is freely shared. Visitors are welcome to take a piece, leave a piece, or do both. You do not need to leave artwork in order to take something that speaks to you. AFTER OPENING DAY Once artwork is placed in the Exchange, it becomes part of this sharing community and may be taken home by another visitor. Artwork contributed to the Exchange will not be returned to the artist. Take one. Leave one. Or both. HELP US STOCK THE EXCHANGE Little Seasons Gallery opens February 6, 2027, and we would love to have the Art Exchange filled with small works of art waiting to be discovered. If you're nearby: Once Little Seasons is installed, you're welcome to bring your artwork directly to the Art Exchange. Pre-opening drop-off dates and details will be posted here before opening. Beginning February 6, visitors are welcome to bring appropriate artwork directly to the Art Exchange whenever they visit. No submission or advance notice is needed. If you have any questions, please email: hello@karenarmstrongstudio.com

NEST
An April 2027 exhibition at Little Seasons Gallery
A nest can be a home, a beginning, a place of shelter, or something carefully made from what can be found.

The theme may be interpreted literally or in an entirely unexpected way.
We would love to see what NEST means to you.

May is a season of tending.

Little Seasons Gallery invites artists to explore care in all its forms, what we nurture, protect, encourage, and keep.
What do you tend? What has TENDED you?
